Music this week - July 25-31

Did anyone else wake up and wonder "Where did summer go?" Well, soothe your cold body and soul with some music, and warm up with some early music because the Vancouver Bach Festival starts this week!

Thursday The CBC Musical Nooners continue with Jim Byrnes, and hopefully the weather is nice for the VMO Free Outdoor Concert at the Jack Poole Plaza, while the Silk Purse Arts Centre has the Tony Foster Trio

Friday End your week with The Fugitives, who hail from East Van and feature both a violin and banjo

Sunday The Little Chamber Music Series that Could has partnered with the VIFF to present Happiness, aka "A Tale of a Hapless Mercenary Khmyr, His Horse-Wife Anna, His Well-Fed Neighbor Foka and Also of a Priest, a Nun and Other Old Relics" with live music with a newly-composed score by Mark Haney. The name alone makes it too good to miss.

Monday Start your week off with the RupLoops at the CBC Outdoor Stage

Tuesday at noon go watch Jenny Banai & Bre McDaniel then the Vancouver Bach Festival starts with Bach Complete Brandenburg Concertos Part 1

Wednesday Musical Nooners continues with The Long War, then there's two offerings from the VBF with Bach Sonatas & Chamber Music and Bach Complete Brandenburg Concertos Part 2, because you watched last night's concert so you need to watch tonight's concert too
